“50 Inc.” – A call to contribute
Goal
“50 Inc.” is the flagship project of CERN’s Diversity & Inclusion Programme and part of its Inclusion Matters. initiative, approved by the Executive Board. Building on the foundations laid by “25 by ’25” (25 by ’25 initiative: diversity progress at CERN | CERN) and inspired by the Director-General’s vision for CERN as “a beacon of inclusivity in science, where diversity in all its forms can thrive”, it constitutes a visible and tangible part of CERN’s management strategy for an even more inclusive workplace by 2030.
“50 Inc.” sets an organisational ambition to deliver 50 visible and tangible inclusion actions over the 2026–2030 mandate, with 10 actions approved each year, at a rhythm of roughly one per month.
Format
Using the proposal form below you can submit concrete inclusion action proposals. Each proposal, whether a small improvement or a broader suggestion, helps identify meaningful steps towards strengthening inclusion at CERN.
All submissions are reviewed and consolidated by the D&I Programme and will contribute to a structured evaluation process. Selected proposals will be taken forward for implementation as part of “50 Inc.”. Marking the 10th and 25th inclusion action milestones along the way, our goal is to reach 50 inclusion actions by December 2030. Action proposals for approval by the D&I Strategic Oversight Board will be reviewed twice per year and will consider input from key D&I stakeholders at CERN, including the departmental Diversity & Inclusion Officers, the Experiments D&I contact points, Staff Association, and early career Scientists fora. To ensure effective implementation, respective diversity community networks will be regularly consulted along the way. Inclusion actions implementation progress will be shared via an online dashboard.
Confidentiality
Your submission will be treated confidentially (click here for more information on data privacy at CERN: For Everybody | Data Privacy at CERN). Only the D&I Programme team (D&I Programme Leader and D&I Adviser) may contact you if additional information is required. At all further stages of the review process, all proposals are anonymized.
