International Gender Champions
CERN Director-General Fabiola Gianotti signed a pledge to be a Gender Champion, committing to promote gender equality.
This is a program to bring together leaders and alumni to break down Gender barriers.
Within the framework of this project, Fabiola has committed to:
- Continue with the implementation of the “25 by ‘25” aspirational gender target strategy, ie. to increase the percentage of women employed by CERN to 25% by the end of 2025, with a particular focus on women in STEM.
- Roll out a new learning for all Senior Leaders / Managers across CERN on how to recognise, prevent, and intervene in unacceptable behaviour, with a particular focus on gender-based harassment.
